Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the provision of dump trailer rentals and waste‑removal services (“Services”) offered by True North Disposal (“True North,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking, accepting, or using our Services, the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Overview
True North Disposal provides dump trailer rentals and full‑service waste‑removal solutions for residential, commercial, and construction‑related cleanup needs.
2. Booking and Payment Terms
2.1 Booking Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only after review by True North.

Customers will be contacted to complete credit‑card authorization for the standard rate of the selected Service.

Any optional add‑ons or additional charges will be applied to the final invoice.

Booking details will be verified during the authorization process.
2.2 Payment Authorization

A temporary hold will be placed on the Customer’s credit card for the standard service rate.
-
Although the hold may appear as a charge, payment is not collected until the Service has been completed.
2.3 Dump Trailer Rental
The standard dump trailer rental package is $300, which includes:

3‑day rental period
-
Up to 1 ton of waste
-
Delivery and pickup of the trailer
2.4 Waste Removal Service
The standard waste‑removal service is $100 and includes items listed on our approved materials list (“Accepted Items List”).

Items not included on this list may be subject to additional charges.

Additional materials will be billed based on the volume they occupy in our trailer(s).

3. Dump Trailer Usage Terms
To ensure safe and proper use of our equipment, Customers must comply with the following requirements:
3.1 Prohibited Materials

The trailer may not contain any items listed on the “Not Allowed List.”
3.2 Mechanical Compaction

Machinery such as skid steers, front‑end loaders, or excavators may not be used to compact material inside the trailer.
3.3 Loading Restrictions
-
Machinery may not be used to load materials from the sides of the trailer.
-
Loading is permitted from the rear only.
3.4 Fill Line Compliance
-
Materials must not exceed the designated fill line at any time.
3.5 Equipment Integrity
-
Customers may not remove, add, alter, or modify any trailer components, including but not limited to tires, batteries, tools, hitch locks, doors, chains, or removable sides.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring the following conditions are met:
4.1 Site Accessibility

The designated drop‑off and pickup location must be clear, unobstructed, and safely accessible.
4.2 Trailer Placement
-
The trailer must remain in the position where it was placed by True North personnel.
4.3 Compliance With Fill Limits
-
Materials must not exceed the marked fill line.
4.4 Municipal Compliance
-
Customers are responsible for ensuring the trailer is placed in accordance with local bylaws.
-
Customers must obtain any required permits for placement on public property.
-
Customers are liable for all fines, penalties, or towing fees resulting from non‑compliance.
4.5 Adherence to Usage Terms

All usage requirements outlined in these Terms must be followed.
5. Limitation of Liability
True North is not liable for delays in pickup or drop‑off caused by weather conditions, site inaccessibility, or other circumstances beyond our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, True North is not responsible for:

Damage to driveways, lawns, curbs, or surfaces resulting from trailer placement

Damage caused by Customer‑directed placement in unsuitable areas
-
Losses arising from improper use of the trailer or violation of these Terms
6. Cancellation, Rescheduling, Penalties & Refunds
6.1 Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 12 hours before the scheduled booking incur no penalty.
-
Cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled booking incur a $75 cancellation fee.
-
Cancellations must be submitted by phone or email.
6.2 Rescheduling
-
Rescheduling is permitted up to 8 hours before the scheduled booking.
-
If the Customer declines available time slots, the $75 cancellation fee applies.
-
True North reserves the right to reschedule or cancel bookings based on operational needs.
6.3 Refunds & Early Pickups
-
No refunds are provided for early pickups requested before the standard 3‑day rental period ends.
-
Customers must call or email to request a revised pickup time.
6.4 Payment Timing & Disputes
-
Charges are applied to the Customer’s credit card after the trailer has been dropped off.
-
Disputes or refund requests will be reviewed after disposal of the waste.
7. Penalties & Fines
The following actions will result in additional charges:

Customer responsible for all fines + $100 service fee
Disposal of prohibited materials

8. Dry Run Fee
A $30 dry‑run fee applies if the trailer cannot be dropped off or picked up due to Customer‑related issues, including but not limited to:

Blocked access

Customer not present

Waste exceeding the fill line

Unsafe or inaccessible site conditions
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
